The Mecca Defence Pact

Author / Artist: S. Rouzbeh

My new cartoon, published in Kayhan London. Drawn using a combination of charcoal and coloured pencil, this work addresses the Mecca defence pact between Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan, and the prospect of other countries in the region joining. The shields joining together symbolise the formation of a collective defence mechanism against missile and drone threats from the Revolutionary Guards.

Missiles beneath a bloodied hand labelled IRGC face joined shields bearing the flags of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan, with other regional shields approaching.
